Description
The Undyed ETHICON™ MONOCRYL™ Monofilament Absorbable Suture, 4-0, 27", PS-1 needle, is a synthetic suture composed of poliglecaprone 25. It is engineered for consistent tensile strength and minimal tissue reactivity, making it a reliable choice for soft tissue approximation and ligation in areas that heal quickly. Its monofilament structure minimizes drag and tissue trauma during placement.
The Undyed MONOCRYL™ suture’s smooth passage through tissue, excellent pliability, and secure knot holding reduce the risk of tissue damage and ensure precise wound closure. Its reverse cutting needle (PS-1, 3/8 circle) provides optimal penetration through tough or dense tissues, such as skin and fascia.
Common applications include subcuticular skin closure, bladder repair, gastrointestinal tract procedures, reproductive tissue approximation, and pediatric surgeries.
